Roblox building has always been a big part of my life, among other things like writing, retail and architecture.
The name "Pyrofyre" came about in late 2021 when I went camping with family in northern Michigan. Before then, I had been known as lastvex, but it never really stuck out. Watching the constant burning of campfires intrigued me quite a bit when I was younger, and the word "pyro" in general caught my interest as well. Lots of people believe it came from TF2 when it was just some silly idea younger me came up with upon vacation.
As early as 2019, I had a great vision to create a small town map of my dreams. Using a (quite terrible) HP Stream laptop at my grandparents' place, I put together a bunch of small buildings and filled in the rest. It wasn't perfect, but putting together free models is what started my passion for building on Roblox.
The Roblox game Blockate also inspired many of these builds. The core premise of Blockate is simple: use different shapes to create whatever your mind desires. I first played on one of my old accounts in August of 2018, and along with another similar game named Sandbox, it inspired me to start creating stuff, this time on Roblox Studio.
In 2022, after developing a few of these, I tried building for the first time. Using Google Maps, the McDonalds shown on the left was one of t`he first builds I had created from scratch. The size ratio compared to an actual player wasn't great, and it wasn't as high detail, but it was perfect to me at the time!
Over time, building became a strong part for me. I'd spend sometimes hours or even days just creating whatever my mind desired. Even if it hadn't looked perfect, practice is all it took for my builds to (sort of) come to life. I opened commissions sometime in 2024 to small amounts of fanfare, but received many support from social media, friends and Roblox players alike along the way. Some commissions and projects I've worked on include a McDonalds kiosk, KFC restaurant, and several downtown buildings for a role-play game.
The McDonalds shown to be built in 2026 was built about 2 months from writing this (6/2026). It isn't an exact replica, but it shows the progress made over the span of 4 years.
I've had several moments where I lost something I've worked hours on, but yet it didn't keep me from stopping. Along the way, I've made some mistakes, but I've learned from them. Some people have asked how I was born with the talent of making these, but you aren't born with talent in most cases, it just takes perseverance and learning that keeps you going.
